Whats Working:
The Delayed Harvest sections on the Watauga River will again be stocked in October. This is a great opportunity for anyone to catch nice trout. Dry and Dropper rigs work well for these fish. You might try a size 12 or 14 stimulator followed by a size 16 copper john. Try to keep the line between the flies about 2x the depth of the water you are fishing. With a little luck you might just tie into a nice BROOK trout.

Life is GOOD!!! Some badly needed rain has fallen and our rivers and creeks are running FULL. Once they clear up fishing will be excellent!!! Rain always turns these fish "ON". Good luck and Great Fishing!!!
